END SKY: Now, choose!
Avelia: ...I can't speak for all of humanity, especially not on something as important as this! But...
Avelia: I am my own person and I value that which is 'me' and I think many others would do the same.
Avelia: Pushing our own values onto everyone without their choice is the height of selfishness. So in this situation the answer is obvious- the choice that favours the individual.
Avelia: Even if other people disagree, at least they can disagree!
Basil: ...to be honest, I find the idea of transcendent unity somewhat appealing, but...
Basil: This is not my choice to make and I'm not going to force everyone else to accept this.
Basil: I will fight this to the end!
Celia: ...you say that transcendant thought is the only way forward; that, to progress like a species, we have to think like everyone else, but isn't that just your own selfishness?
Celia: Who even says we've reached a technology singularity? A bunch of theoretical physics professors? Human advancement hasn't even stopped.
Celia: We just cured half of the autoimmune diseases, for crying out loud!
Celia: This is entirely wrong and it's not something I will accept.
Celia: I don't think humanity would accept this either.
END SKY: Very well.
END SKY: You had the choice between the easy option and the hard option and you chose the easy option.
END SKY: But does the courage of your convictions match the importance of your decision?
